Beef Lasagna

Beef Lasagna

Prep: 35 Minutes
Cook: 350°F for 60-75 minutes

*THIS RECIPE IS FOR 3 9x13 PANS - CAN DIVIDE RECIPE FOR LESS

INGREDIENTS:

3 lbs ground beef
2 TBSP minced dried onion
1 & 3/4 salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
2 TBSP chopped basil
3 tsp. fresh parsley
1 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
3 - 24oz jars spaghetti sauce
30oz ricotta cheese
20oz cottage cheese
¼ - ½ cup Parmesan cheese
2 eggs
Oven ready lasagna noodles
2 lbs. mozzarella cheese

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. Brown ground beef with onions in a large skillet. Drain fat.
Stir in spaghetti sauce, 1 1/2 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp black pepper, basil, Italian seasoning and 2 tsp. of chopped parsley

3. In another bowl combine cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, 1/8 tsp black pepper, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. parsley and eggs.

4. Spray the pan(s) with a non stick spray and then start layering in the pans - layer of meat sauce, uncooked noodles, cottage cheese mixture, mozzarella cheese.
Continue until you near the top of the pan, but make sure you end with the meat sauce.

5. Cook lasagna for 45 - 60 minutes at 350.

 

TO MAKE INTO FREEZER MEALS

INSTRUCTIONS:

Follow all steps above and bake the lasagnas for 30 minutes and let cool before putting them in the freezers for up to 3 months.

When going to bake frozen lasagnas, let thaw and then bake for 45-60 minutes at 350°F (depends on how frozen it is when you stick it in the oven).
